Senior Security Architect

Our client is a fast-growing cyber security consultancy across Australia and New Zealand, known for technical depth and for backing its people.

They have an immediate need for a Senior Security Architect in Melbourne, in a permanent role, with a current engagement embedded full-time with one of their enterprise clients.

You will sit inside a large enterprise's cyber program and keep the external delivery providers honest. This is architecture assurance, not hands-on build, and not vendor or pre-sales work.

The role

• Review security designs from delivery partners and challenge what does not hold up
• Set and defend security architecture decisions with senior stakeholders
• Confidently push back with the client when the design or the risk calls for it
• Work alongside other embedded architects and the client's security leadership
• Join a practice that grows senior architects into lead roles

What you'll need to succeed

• A solid 10 years in security, with senior architecture experience
• Real depth in at least one of AWS, Azure or GCP
• Client-facing experience, with the judgement to push back and hold your position
• Design and ability to make decisions you can explain and defend under questioning
• Experience governing third-party delivery is highly regarded
• Full, unrestricted right to work in Australia mandatory as a PR or Citizen
• SABSA, TOGAF or CISSP is advantageous; proven experience counts more
