Technical Business Analyst — Integration

  • Essendon Fields, Vic

Our client is one of Australia's most recognised enterprises, running a large and complex technology environment. They have an immediate need for a Technical Business Analyst with hands-on integration and API experience, based in Melbourne's north-west, on a hybrid 6-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension.

The role

This is analysis, not build. You will lead requirements elicitation with business and technical stakeholders, define end-to-end data flows, produce source-to-target mappings and functional and interface specifications, validate API contracts, then own SIT/UAT through to defect resolution. The artefacts you produce go to the developer — you define what gets built.

The work sits across a continuous pipeline of integration change.

What you'll need to succeed;

  • Around 5–6 years as a business or systems analyst working on integration
  • Requirements elicitation, functional and interface specifications, source-to-target mapping and transformation logic
  • Hands-on API work — REST and/or SOAP, and able to explain methods including POST from your own work
  • JSON/XML payloads and schemas — validated and interpreted hands-on
  • API testing or specification tooling used personally — Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI, Insomnia, OpenAPI/Swagger or RAML
  • SIT/UAT, defect logging and integration testing
  • Azure Logic Apps, Azure API Management, MuleSoft or SQL (advantageous)

Suitably skilled candidates are encouraged to apply with an achievement-based CV.
